Blondie - Autoamerican (1980)

MEMORY
I remember this release was not as impactful as Parrell Lines or Eat To The Beat. As a UGE Blondie fan, I was truly disappointed.

A very Bright spot on this is "Europa", a Chris Stein Instrumental.
"Live It Up", doesn't live up to anything, another attempt of that disco feeling more like a Donna Summer song.
"Here's looking at you" is a throwback to the 40s Big Band sound.
"The Tide is High" is probably my least favorite in regards to Blondie's hits.
"Angel On The Balcony" is the best song on this. It's sounds like Blondie.
"Go Through It", is nearly an Ennio Morricone homage, promising, but misses the mark
"Do The Dark" goes back to the disco sound, which is much better than 'Live It Up", and my second favorite on this release.
"Rapture", love Blondie's vocals, but not her rapping.
"Faces" is a very lounge noir torch song, that never goes anywhere...
"T-Birds" is one of the better songs, but very cloudy and repeatative.
"Walk Like Me", has a surf, beach sound to it, and sounds more like a Blondie song than most of the songs on here.
"Follow Me" is a lifeless, ambient journey, that eventually ends, and we are all happy it does.
Here is that bright spot.
