Although there are some good songs on here, and some with Michael McDonald from the Doobie Brothers, ...But it is over shadowed by the big hit and featured song from this release, which I had no idea Melissa Manchester wrote the lyrics to.

What an awesome release. One of my favorites from Pat Benatar. Fire and Ice, Promises In The Dark, Helter Skelter, and my favorite, the title track. I remember the video for that song, with Neil Geraldo wearing a sheik turban delivering an amazing piece of guitar work. Life is too short, so why waste.....

Once in a while you can't wait for the radio to play a specific song, and this was one of those songs. I only remember the hit off of this... But listening to the album...Wow, this really good. I forgot how polished these guys were. Instantly added this album into rotation.

I am familiar with Greg Kihn and his hits, but never went back, or forward for that matter and listened to his catalog. I didn't know what to expect and this was a pleasant listen. If you are a fan of Power Pop, give this one a listen. Oooo, what's this... A nice cover song....

This could have and quite possibly been in the Valley Girl movie. This is light happy and fun. Almost a female version of The Beach Boys, but not as formulaic. Twangy guitar and fast bass lines on this one.

This definitely has many of the elements that I like for my late UK 70s punk. Raw, unpolished and anthemic. It is missing the anger and angst but this is some really good stuff. It can get a little New Wavish at times but this is Punk.

MEMORY

I always thought Sheena's voice was a bit better than most other female vocalists. Some of the songs have a slight touch of Country. But songs like Prisoner and One Man Woman make up for it. I remember hearing this song working at one of my earlier jobs spinning oil out of metal chips.

This was a front to back... sort of, it was an All track Repeat...I had this baby on 8 Track. "The Things We Do For Love" was all over the radio, and when it first came out, I thought it was Queen. Which was, and still is my favorite band of all time. I remember I even sent away for a free Deceptive Bends Iron On from an ad in Circus magazine. I got it, ironed it on a t-Shirt, and it was my FIRST rock t-Shirt. This album is in my top 25, of all time, just because it was a unique album that crossed genres and planted deeply in my memory. There are so many great songs on here...

This was a front to back listen that got played constantly. This was released after I saw her live in Milwaukee. I can honestly and truthfully say I was there. I remember seeing the "Doom Song" on SCTC with Gil Fisher and thought how far Wendy had come to get musically credit for her work. And then on Solid Gold with Black Leather Monster. I wonder sometimes if she became what she hated.

This album is a fantastic piece of New Wave that never got it's recognition. Most of the songs have that Two-Tone and Ska feel to them. After hearing the Time Square Soundtrack Joe Jackson became a recognized and respected name for me. This easily could have been on 80s soundtrack.

From my list data, this was identified as Heavy Metal, and one of Heavy Metal's labels was 'Satan's Music'. Looking at the band name, title and cover...How appropriate. This is really good, but this is actually Hard Rock and sounds very much like Axe. This missed it's target audience by about 2 years. HOLY SHIT! This was on the tape!

A hidden treasure, late 70s Female Punk from Los Angeles. Wait...What's this.. oh Female and Male Vocals, ala The Rezillos...The female vocals are very reminiscent of The Runaways. The male vocals are a little harder remind me a little of Dead Boys meet The Vapors.

There was the 4 solos albums, and then there was this. No matter what I read or heard, it was labeled awful and certainly not KISS. So.... I listened to what everyone was saying, and never listened to this. I don't mind Peter Criss's vocals what so ever. His voice is better than Bob Dylan's or Tim Curry's. This release opens with a ballad, and then with a rock song that has an intro that reminds me a little of Doctor Love. Over all this is a rock album with a touch of blues, and nothing I would place in musical rotation. And..what's this....oh my ... a cover!!

Well, this is definitely an original band name, I did expect New Wave punk, but this is a Hard Rock band. or This seems a bit reserved and I wish they would have stepped it up a notch. This isn't bad, but this has that 'dated' sound that many bands of the late 70's have. I did find a decent cover though.

Judging by the title and band name, I was expecting Jazz, or Jazz Fusion. This is pure Rock N Roll. This reminds me of lot like Axe meet Rainbow with a touch of Deep Purple. Once in a while it gets a little progressive, but nothing unbearable.

If adventure has a name…it must be "Indiana Jones"! My younger brother and I saw this at the theater at least 40 times, if not more. We listened to the soundtrack just as much. It was almost like seeing the movie. We knew exactly which scene each track was associated with. We loved that film and the iconic music. We grew fond of this track, which is NOT the main theme.

This reminds me of Kansas meets Boston. The guitar work isn't as awesome as Tom Scholz, nor are the vocals as good as Steve Walsh, but the songs are well done. At times it's a little more piano than I prefer and it's about as Progressive as I go. Definitely worth a listen.

I used to think that Michael Schenker was overrated and distanced myself anything he was involved in. That's what happens there is an over abundance of music. This is good album. I can see how his guitar work gets attention. This is reminiscent of early Judas Priest, Rainbow and Whitesnake. There are some songs that I find mediocre at best, and others that clearly stand out.

Very rare and obscure, only 2000 copies were pressed from the band out of Leeds. It's a shame bands like this got no recognition. Reminds a little of a rawer version of The Knack meets The Members. I included both track from this band that only produced this single.

It's a little more funky than I thought. I was expecting maybe country rock. It's pretty good. Very light, and easy on the ears. It's like the Doobie Brothers meet The O'jays.

Elvis was all over the place and I never gave him his due. I'm not sure if it was because of his name or his look. I thought it was all too contrived and dismissed his music. Big mistake. Once you adapt to his vocal style, his music is brilliant. This is the album that brought us "Pump It Up", but there are many many more really great songs on here.

If you like 80s Hard Rock, this is for you. Gary Moore and G-Force it's like Journey meets Night Ranger, but better. Gary Moore's amazing guitar work is on here and I never knew the even existed until Victims Of The Future came out, and my mortis operandi was not to go back and listen to what he had done prior. This is very very good, even though there are some slower stuff on here. The reason Gary Moore is my favorite guitar player, it's because you can feel and hear the emotion trough his guitar.

I always found Bob Geldof a little snooty and full of himself, then Bono arrive on the scene and Bob wasn't so bad after all. I do like The Boomtown Rats at least for the most part. At times they are like the Tubes or Oingo Boingo and go off on some goofy tangent. I remember there was a video for this song and thought it was okay...There are better songs on this to be honest with you.

I have a little problem with rock bands that overuse keyboards that sound like a straight up piano. I find it a little distracting and out of sorts. Well the first song started that way and didn't know what the rest would be like. Overall it's not bad. The songs are well written, the musicianship is there, and there are some really nice harmonies. The last two tracks are more to my liking, in fact the last song doesn't sound like it even belongs on this album. When I first heard the featured song, it blew me away.It is an iconic Rock and Roll anthem!
